Her childhood was spent in Harper and Beaver counties.
Her education was in a one room schoolhouse in Beaver County which was also the church building where she accepted Jesus as her savior.
On February 3, 1936, Blanche and Silas Doyle Taylor were united in marriage at Beaver, OK by the Church of God minister, Rev. Brown.
To this union were born three children, Euncie Marie, Verl Doyle and Alvin Gene.
They spent 10 years living in and around Beaver, OK, one year in LaJunta, Colorado and then moved to Laverne, OK. Where they lived the rest of their life. She was a member of the Laverne Apostolic Faith Church.
Blanche worked for many years in Wallenberg Hardware, then in Laverne Hospital and nursing home until it closed.
She kept Jerid Megert during his early years and loved him dearly.
In March of 2003, because of poor health, Blanche entered the Beaver County Nursing Home. Many wonderful people made her last month’s more pleasant.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle on February 7, 1973, her father George Walker in 1952 and Mother, Aurilla Tosh Walker in 1956. Brothers preceding her in death were Frankie and Harold in infancy; Clarence, Harry and Jess Walker; sisters, Ina Maud in infancy, Laura Benner, Gertie Whitsides, Dannie Deuer and Bessie Lemmons.
Doyle’s brother and sister, Bob and Hazel Taylor and Lois and Howard Daniels were especially attentive to Blanche in her declining years, two nieces Marilyn Rotge and Velma Busseau kept close contact through the years.
Surviving children include: Eunice and Terry Aldrich of Laverne, OK; Verl and Sandra Taylor of Chattanooga, TN and Alvin and McCayla Taylor of Beaver City, OK.
Surviving grand-children are LaWanda and John Miller, Piedmont, OK; Gip and Karen Aldrich, Durango, CO., Trace and Cay Taylor, Hereford, TX; Trent and Nancy Taylor, Sidney, MT., Tania and Greg Meek, Lake Mary, FL., Renee and Jeremy Davis, Yukon, OK. And Janell and Nick Grunau, Oklahoma City, OK Great- grandchildren are Jeremy Crocker; Ashley and Alisha Taylor, Tosh and Mary Miller, Logan, Austin, Brandon and Alyssa Taylor, Tessa Meek and Braxton Davis.
Graveside services were held Saturday, November 22, 2003 with Rev. James Brown, Officiating. Burial was at Laverne Cemetery in the direction of Clark-Wilkinson Funeral Services. Blanche loved Christmas Season and all it stood for. If she could send a message this year it would probably:
