JORISHIE -- Juanita Bayouth, 83, passed away peacefully February 2, 2003. Juanita a longtime resident of Tulsa was one of eleven children. She was born on December 12, 1919 to Mr. and Mrs. Solomon H. Bayouth of Collinsville, OK. She graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1937. She managed her father's dry goods stores during WWII, while five of her brothers were in the service. In 1945 she married her late husband, Jacob William Jorishie and moved to West Virginia. They returned and made Tulsa their permanent home in 1951. Juanita was an active and founding member of St. Antony's Orthodox Christian Church and served as President of its Ladies Auxiliary. A quiet and pious person, she dedicated her life as a loving wife, raising her children and grandchildren as well as caring for many nieces and nephews. She was a gracious lady in every sense and was warm and loving to all. She generously supported many philanthropic causes; including scholarships, charities, universities and numerous churches. She shared her kind spirit with all and her giving was without reservation. She found peace and purpose in life through her devout love of God, commitment to family and willingness to help others. She will be truly missed by those who were blessed to know her. Juanita was preceded in death by: her husband, Jacob William Jorishie; brother, William Bayouth; and sister, Louise Farris. She is survived by: brothers, Kay, A.B. "Bus," Eddie, Emile and Tex Bayouth; sisters, Inez Jones, Delores Sallee and JoAnn NAIFEH. Juanita has 3 children, Diana Deeba (and husband, Richard) of St. Louis, MO, Dr. Jacob William Jorishie, Jr. of Tulsa, and Jeffrey Joseph Jorishie (and wife, Beth) of Tulsa. She has 3 grandchildren, Richard P. Deeba II (and wife, Leslie), Ashley E. Jorishie and Jacob Joseph Jorishie. All services to be held at St. Antony's Orthodox Christian Church, 2645 E. 6th Street, Tulsa. Trisagion prayer service at 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2002. Funeral at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2002. Interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Antony's Church.
