MARSAI CHARI MURRY, 17, transcended to heaven Saturday, November 8, 2003. She was born March 16, 1986 in Houston, TX. Marsai was a senior at L. V. Hightower High School. She served as Vice-President of Top Teens of America and Secretary of the Youth Ushers (ServeCore) at Windsor Village UMC. She was a member of the Peer Assistance Leadership Program and Family Career and Community Leaders of America. She participated in speech debates and Odyssey of the Mind. Marsai served as one of the Social Officers of Hightower's dance team, the Hilites, and a former debate team member. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Freddie and Mayola Murry; Felix and Katie Martin; father, Anatole Emile Martin, III; uncle, Charles Kelly Martin and aunt, Fannie Mae Moore. She is survived by her mother, Nettie M. Murry; brother, Emile Breaux Martin; uncles, Freddie Murry, Jr. and Arthur Breaux Martin; aunt, Charlotte (Betty) Martin; and a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at Windsor Village UMC on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at 10:00 a.m.
