Daughter of James Joshua Paul(JJP) or James Joshua Perrin Johnson and Hannah Jane Boyd. (James was born circa 1814 in Greene, PA and Hannah was born in Adams, PA. ) She had 9 siblings. In 1850 she lived in Ohio and by the 1860s in Missouri. She was 81 when she passed in 1927. Her father was a military officer.

She married James Daniel Branch on June 26, 1862 at the age of 15. He was a farmer.

According to Ancestry she had 10 children.
