In November 1853, he married Lucinda Armstrong in Ontario, Canada. Shortly after they had their oldest Henry in 1854 they moved to Iowa and continued adding to their family having a total of ten children . They lost three of their children Platt(d. 1858), Henrietta(d.1857), and Royal(d.1873) in their early childhood. By 1885 the family moved to Nebraska. This is where Warren and his wife of 56 years, Lucinda lived out their remaining years. Both buried in Pender, Thurston County, Nebraska.
They were of the Methodist faith, and in his lifetime Warren worked as a farmer, tanner (leather maker) and businessman.
