P. F. Ratcliff Rites to Be Held Today
Funeral services for P. F. Ratcliff, 67, of 3109 Pinehill Rd., will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Rose-Neath Funeral home chapel in Shreveport with the Rev. Glenn Marr, pastor of North Highlands Baptist Church, officiating and the Rev. Jack Shaw assisting.
Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Springville Cemetery in Coushatta.
Mr. Ratcliff died Friday in Schumpert Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
A native of Dibol, Tex., Mr. Ratcliff had been a resident of Shreveport for 40 years and was the founder and former sole owner of the internationally known Frymaster Corp., one of Shreveport's most widely recognized industrial concerns.
He was an acknowledged authority in the field of commercial cooking equipment design and construction and held numerous patents for his inventions and was responsible for the modernization and improvement of many commercial specialized cooking mechanisms.
He was a veteran of World War I and an active member of Lowe-McFarlane Post No. 14 of the American Legion, 40 & 8, El Karubah Shrine Temple and a 32nd degree Mason.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jane Parker Ratcliff of Shreveport.
Pallbearers will be Bruce C. Jones, W. D. White, W. M. Tyler, William Marble, Nolen Adams and William Powell.
