Ruth Miner was the oldest daughter of Mildred Ashley and Frank E. Miner, and a grandchild of Ancil A. and Ella Ashley Champion and Calvin and Ida Coombs Miner. Ruth died one day before her 70th birthday, and is buried in the family plot which was purchased by her grandfather, Ancil A. Champion. She left two younger sisters, Lois Arlene and Doris Miner Maynard. Ruth had been employed by the Travelers Insurance Company.
