Jack Edward Jenkins, Sr., 77 of Pleasant Mount PA, died Monday, April 21, 2008 in the Lackawanna County Health Care Center in Peckville. He was married to the late Ida Lent Jenkins.
Born in Peckville, PA, he was the son of the late John and Mabel Seely Jenkins. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jack was a dairyman and laborer until retirement.
He is survived by three sons, Jack Jenkins, Jr of White Mills, Wilbur and his fiance' Claudia Jean Smith of Pleasant Mount, and Michael and his wife Arlene Jenkins of Orange, NY; four daughters, Etta Day and her husband Daniel of Pleasant Mount, Betty Nicholas and her husband Arthur of White Mills, Cynthia Galloway and her husband William III of Equinunk, Linda Armstrong and her husband Sean of White Mills; five sisters, Ethel Price, Shirly Uhl, Mabel Crawford, Charlotte Stover, Barbara Tyrrel; a brother, Thomas Jenkins;12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Jenkins and a granddaughter, Angelica Rose Armstrong.
Funeral will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home,1228 North Main Street, Honesdale, Pa. Interment will be Thursday at in Maple Hill At Salem Crematory, Archbald.
