She was born January 3, 1916, in McPherson, AR, to William M. and Annie J. Miller Casey. On December 22, 1935, she married Loren Goatley at Rush, AR. She and her husband relocated to Sunnyside, WA and moved back here in 1993. Marie spent her life as a homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of River of Life Assembly of God Church. Her hobbies included traveling and fishing. She really enjoyed listening to gospel music.

Mrs. Goatley is survived by four sons: Arthur Goatley of Soldotna, Alaska, Dee L. Goatley of Kansas City, MO, Fred Goatley of Goldendale, WA and James Goatley of Roosevelt, WA; four daughters: Eunice Evans of Mountain Home, Guila Cunningham and Retha Stoneking both of Gassville, AR and Reola Barnett of Bowling Green, KY; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Terry Goatley; one grandson, Gary Evans; two brothers, Clarence and Dan Casey; four sisters: Theola Parnell, Beulah Sailor, Lorene Hicks, and Ethel Casey. She will be greatly missed.
