RANSDELL, Mark Robert, 23 of Myrtle Creek, Oregon passed away Sunday, August 24, 2003. He was born January 29, 1980, in Roseburg, Oregon to Dale and Carol (Barley) Ransdell. Mark worked as a firefighter for First Strike for 3 seasons. He enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, camping and working and ”driving’ his Galaxy 500. Survivors include his parents, Dale and Carol Ransdell of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; sister Kimberly Ransdell of Vancouver, Washington; maternal grandfather Robert Barley of Halsey, Oregon; paternal grandmother, Ida Ransdell of Eugene, Oregon; aunts and uncles Richard Barley and his wife Betsy of Halsey, Oregon, Robert Barley and his wife Gloria, Kenneth Barley and his wife Charlotte all of Springfield, Oregon, Karen Haas and her husband Larry of Lancaster, California and Gale Ransdell and his wife Judee of Missouri; numerous cousins and his girlfriend Erica Lilly of Tiller. Mark was preceded in death by his brother Michael Ransdell; paternal grandfather Edgar Ransdell and maternal grandmother Laimi Barley. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 4, 2003, at 10 a.m. in the Tri City Baptist Church. Pastor John Gustafson will officiate. Graveside services will follow within the grounds of Roseburg memorial Gardens. WILSON‘S CHAPEL OF THE ROSES is in charge of arrangements.
