BARBARA "DANIELLE" DAVIS, 21, of Huntington, W.Va., formerly of Wayne, W.Va., went to be with the Lord Friday, April 2, 2010. Born June 16, 1988 in Huntington, she was preceded in death by her father James Davis, along with maternal grandparents, Barbara and Alford Adkins and paternal grandparents, Lula and Argy Davis.
Danielle graduated from Wayne High School in 2006 and was a senior psychology major at Marshall University, where she also played trumpet in Marshall's Marching Thunder. She was a student dormitory security supervisor, and also attended Huntington Gospel Chapel.
She leaves behind her mother Augusta Davis of Wayne; one sister, Krystal Mounts and husband Justin of Wayne; her beloved boyfriend of three years, Christopher Dixon of Huntington; aunt and uncles Nancy Bryan and husband Roger, Carol Davis, Raymond Davis all of Wayne, Dee Davis of Huntington, Essie Vaughan of Lavalette, and Charlie Davis of Wayne; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Darrell Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
