Tara was born to David and Judy Peck. She lived her entire life in Olathe and was a senior at Olathe South High School when she died of injuries suffered in an auto accident in Missouri. At school, Tara was a member of the National Honor Society, the varsity soccer team, the tennis team and the track team. She was also a member of the KCFC Dynamos soccer team and the Olathe South 6A girls soccer team state champions and was recently named Kansas All-American. Tara began playing soccer at the age of 4, as a member of the Pink Panthers. She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Overland Park. Other survivors include a brother, Ryan Peck, paternal grandparents, Roger and Millicent Peck and a maternal grandmother, Ruby Winter. Services were held at 3PM Friday, 8/29/03 at her church, which was followed by a celebration of life gathering for friends to share their memories.
