E. Pauline Wolfe dies at 68

E. Pauline Wolfe, 68, Route 1, died at 1:10 p.m. Sunday at the Jefferson County Hospital, where she has been a patient since Wednesday.

The service will be at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating. Burial will be in the Glasgow Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to First Presbyterian Church or the Fairfield Senior Citizen Site.

Mrs. Wolfe was born June 20, 1919 in Fairfield, graduated from Fairfield High School and from Parsons College, where she majored in home economics. She was a homemaker, living most her life in Fairfield and was employed for several years at Abbott Hobby Shop. She married Laurence E. Wolfe on Aug. 28, 1940, He survives.

Mrs. Wolfe was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Gamma Circle, American Association of University Women and Fairfield Women’s Club.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wolfe is survived by two daughters; Nadine E. and her husband Richard Garbett of Colona, Ill., and Susan W. Shy of Fairfield; three grandchildren, Rick and Suzanne Garbett and Cory Shy; one brother, Ronald V. Cochran of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
