Sally Jean Hollins, age 62, of Santa Fe NM, passed away on September 12, 2011. Sally Jean was born November 27, 1948, in and raised in Santa Fe. Her love for animals began at an early age as she spent a large portion of her time at her father's side watching him care for animals at Smith Veterinary Hospital. Her undying love for horses was exemplified by years of raising, training, and showing horses. Her most enjoyable times were spent hiking and riding horses in the Pecos Wilderness and cooking New Mexico dishes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Edwin J. Smith and Mildred Jean Smith, and brother Thomas Edwin Smith.
She is survived by her daughter Stephanie A. Scott and husband Travis; son Nathan J. Pratt and wife Hilary; grandchildren Skyler Pratt, Dalton Pratt, Colton Scott, and Aspen Scott; and brothers Richard Smith, and Gordon Smith and wife Thelma Pimentel.
