MOWEAQUA-Jan.2--Mrs.Josephine Adamson, wife of Ephriam Adamson died suddenly at the family home here at 12:15 oclock Tuesday morning. She retired Monday night in her usual condition of health. At 12 oclock she called her daughter, but in spite of ministrations died peacefully fifteen minutes after midnight.
Mrs.Adamson was eighty one years old having been born in Pleasant City, Ohio, Dec. 21, 1841. She spent her girlhood there and in January 1867 was married to Ephriam Adamson and for fifty six years lived a harmonious life. A year after their marriage Mr. and Mrs.Adamson moved to Illinois and settled on a farm east of Moweaqua. Later they moved to what is known as the Paradise farm where they resided until a few years ago when they moved to town.
Besides her husband, Mrs.Adamson is survived by four sons and three daughters,namely, David, James and Oscar of Moweaqua, Edward of Decatur, Mrs. Nannie cheatham and the Misses Mary and Ida, living at home. There are thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The first death in the family occurred a year ago this month, when a son,George Adamson was killed by an truck.
Mrs. Adamson was best known and lived in her home for she lived for her family. When fifteen years old she joined the Methodist church and remained a faithful and consistent member until her death. Last Sunday she attended Sunday school and public worship as was her custom.
