"Paul 'Doc' Everett Rodgers, 49, died at Grove City Hospital at 9 pm Saturday after a long illness. He was born in Oil City on April 11, 1915, the son of Eugene and Georgianne Rodgers of Titusville, RD 3. He served in the 92 Signal Corps Bat, Co C in World War II, from Jan 4, 1944, to March 27, 1946, in Ardennes, Central Europe and the Rhineland. Surviving besides his mother is his wife, Betty Dammerall Rodgers; three sisters, Mrs Louise McWilliams of El Segundo, Calif, Mrs Ella Baker of Formosa, Calif, and Mrs Eva Buser of Titusville; and six brothers, Elmer Rodgers of Franklin, RD 3, Lloyd, Frank and Ralph Rodgers of Titusville, RD 3, Guy Rodgers of Erie and Harley Rodgers of Seneca. Two brothers died previously. Friends may call at the William M Curtis Funeral Home....and may attend the funeral service there at 2 pm Wednesday. Full military honors will be accorded by the Bruce Shorts Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars."
