Alex was the 5th son of William C. and Sarah A. Surgener Watkins.His siblings were, James B., David Franklin, William Douglas, John Abraham,Ezra Monroe, Letitia Jane and Laura Ellen. He was born in KS and grew up there on his father's cattle and horse ranch. He moved to AZ. with his parents when he was about 15. He worked as a cowboy most of his life. I don't think he ever married and when he died at about age 71 he was living in a boarding house. He is the forgotten brother of the family. I've never found any infomation on him other than his death cert. I would to love to know more about his life.
