ROY -- Dorothy LaVern Garner Stevenson passed away from a short-term illness on Friday, November 4, 2011 at McKay-Dee Hospital.
She was born to William Roy and Florence LaVern Edwards Garner on September 3, 1939 in Ogden, Utah.
She married Keith LaVar Stevenson on July 24, 1959 in Elko, NV; they were married for 52 years. She lived in Roy, Utah for 35 years.
Dorothy (Dot) worked at Walmart as a Customer Service Manager for many years.
She was a dedicated family care-giver, supporter, wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Keith; children: Debra L. (Joseph) Dorn, Hooper; Pamela Mangum, Clearfield; and Kris (Kendra) Stevenson of Layton; siblings; Shirlene Simpson, Roy; LaRae Albiston, Willard; Reed Garner, Palm Springs, CA; Lonnie Garner, Layton; and Judy Cevering, Scottsdale, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Florence Garner; three sisters, four brothers and a grandson.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Hooper Cemetery, 5290 South 6300 West, Hooper, UT. Services under the direction of Myers Roy Mortuary.
