Funeral services for Arlus Kay (Dykema) Perry, 19, wife of Stanford University student Bruce Perry, Bismarck, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Bismarck Reformed Church.
Mrs. Perry, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Dykema, Bismarck, was slain on the Stanford University campus at Palo Alto Calif. at midnight Saturday. At the time of her death, she and her husband were residing at Escondido Village, a campus housing unit.
She was born Feb. 22,1955 to Marvin and Jean (Van Beek) Dykema, and was a graduated from Bismarck High School in 1973. She attended Bismarck Junior College for one year before her marriage to Bruce Perry, Aug 17 at Bismarck
She leaves her husband and her parents; a brother Larry, Mandaree , a sister: Karen Bismarck and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Able Dykema, Linton, and Mr. and Mrs. Garritt Van Beek Bismarck.
Mrs. Perry was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a cheerleader as a high school student. Before her marriage she was employed in a dental office here and continued her activity in the FCA as a huddle leader. At the time of her death, she was employed as a receptionist in a law firm office in Palo Alto.
The Rev. Don DeKok will officiate at the funeral services and pallbearers will be Steve Graner, Gorden Henry, Rudy Steidl, Darren Anderson, John Perry and Dennis Dykena
The family prefers memorials to the Bismarck Reformed Church.
