Had Resided Here 35 Years
Mrs. M. Belle Wilson, 60, a member of a prominent Tulare county family, died at her home on East Mineral King avenue at 8:30 o'clock last night following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Wilson, who was well known throughout this section of the county, had been seriously ill for the past 10 days. Born in Howard county, Missouri, on December 12, 1872, Mrs. Wilson, then Miss Belle Wood, came to this section with her parents 35 years ago, and had resided here continuously since that time.
Surviving her are her widower, N. C. (Cal) Wilson, of this city, four daughters, Miss Lois Wilson and Mrs. Gene [Jean] McPhaill of Visalia, Mrs. Roy Miller of Tipton, and Mrs. Nate Lovelace of Sacramento; and four sons, Ewell Wilson, Orval Wilson, Paul Wilson, and Herman Wilson, all of this city. A brother, J. C. Wood, and a sister, Mrs. Kate Huff, both of Visalia, and 10 grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the chapel of A. E. Brooks & Son, with Rev. T. L. Guy, pastor of the First Pentecostal Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Visalia city cemetery.

Missouri "Belle" Wood married Nathan Calvin Wilson 13 Oct 1895 in Groesbeck, Limestone Co, Texas. They had eight children - four sons and four daughters. Twins Leona & Viola, Ruth, Ewell, Paul, Orval, Herman & Lois.

Belle's sister, Cena Ellen, was raised by her aunt Rebecca Fisher Whitaker after her mother died. Her father remarried and moved with his older children to California.
Cena was married to Guy Harrington when she died.
