Shirley Joe Williams, age 90 of Austin, Texas passed away on January 5, 2016 at her home in South Austin. She was born in Elmo, Texas on January 26, 1925.

The widow of Johnny Williams, a veteran of the United States Air Force and United States Army, Shirley Joe is survived by two daughters, Gloria Ross and Marla G. Williams; son, John Williams; adopted son, Garland Williams; as well as six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.

The people in Shirley Joe's life were blessed to have someone with a generous heart and a strong passion of her family and loved ones. In her later years, she enjoyed extensive travel with her companion, Fred West, and was able to explore all of the United States as well as Hawaii, a longtime dream of hers.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Forest Oaks Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
