NEARING, Sarah V. Age 96, died Monday, December 23, 1996 at her daughter's home in East Tawas.
Mrs. Nearing was born in Mingo Creek, PA September 1, 1900 and has lived in Flint most of her life coming from Standish and Bay City. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church she is survived by: 4 daughters, Virginia Popadich of Oscoda, MI, Eleanor Kulaszewski of East Tawas, Leona Bennett and husband Harry of Flushing, Phyllis Veselenak and husband Stephen of Flint; son, Al Nearing and wife Ruth of Gaylord, MI; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Sarah was preceded in death by two husbands, Vincent Nearing in 1932 and Victor Nearing in 1965 and two beloved grandsons, Doug Veselenak in 1978 and Arthur Kulaszewski in 1995. Arrangements by Dodd-Dumanois Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 26, 1996 at All Saints Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Robert Mc Keon officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Nearing will remain at the Dodd-Dumanois Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6-8PM, Tuesday, 11AM to 8PM Christmas Day. A Parish Rosary will be recited 4PM Wednesday.
