Born in York, on July 20, 1929, he was the son of the late Walter I. and Mary M. (Forry) Ferree.
He was a farmer for 66 years, until he sold his farm on Schoolhouse Road in June of 2009. His family had a stand for many years at Eastern Market. They also drove a local route, selling their goods door-to-door. When his church started a mission church named "Tidings of Peace" in downtown York, Henry began to attend there. He has been a member for 37 years and helped with the children's Bible School many summers and served as church treasurer.
He is survived by a niece and several cousins. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ardel Ferree Forry and Leona S. Ferree.
Burial will be in Stony Brook Mennonite Cemetery.
