Death claimed Mrs. Marion Whiting at 8:15 p.m. last Thursday (Jan. 16, 1941). Sylvia Ann Young was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Young of Douglas. She was born at Avery, Oklahoma on June 1, 1904 and received her early education in that state. In 1919 she came to Wyoming with her parents. On April 17, 1922, she was united in marriage to Ralph Glenn Reed. Three children were born to this union. Mr. Reed passed away in 1932. She married Marion Fay Whiting in 1936 and to this union was born a son, Thomas Alvin. Mr. Whiting died on October 22, 1937. She continued to live on the Whiting farm north of town with her children until ill health forced her to move to Douglas in February, 1939. She is survived by her parents; a daughter, Ruth Faye; three sons, Marvin Glenn, Donald Keith and Thomas Alvin; a brother, Ralph Young; and two sisters, Lucy Myrtle Young and Mrs. James E. Porter, all of Douglas; her grandparents, Mrs. Lucy Young of Ava, Mo. (Information was obtained from her obituary in the Douglas Budget Jan. 23, 1941 by Betty Alberts, FAG Member #47293729.)
Note: It mentioned grandparents, but only lists Mrs. Lucy Young; this could be the sister (Lucy Myrtle Young?)

In fact, Sylvia Ann Young's grandmother, Lucy Ann Lewellen Young was alive and living in Ava, Mo. at the time of Sylvia's death.
