77th Veteran is Dead Corinth February 22

Horace A. Post aged 75 years and 4 months died at his home, corner of Palmer Avenue and Fifth Street at 11:25 P.M. on Sunday. Mr Post had been in precarious health for several months, when last week he sustained an attack of grip, which terminated his life. Mr Post was born October 1844 in Port Linden, Lewis County,and resided for a number of years in Conklingville, coming to Corinth in 1904. Since he has been in the employ of the International Paper Company. Mr Post was a loving husband and father, a good citizen and a kind neighbor. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Mr Post was a veteran of the Civil War, being a member of the 77th Regiment, New York Volunteers, Company E.

He is survived by his widow, three daughters by a former marriage; Mrs John Hagar of Gloversville, and Mrs William Sutton and Mrs Henry McLain of Schenectady, and one brother O.M. Post of Milwaukee Wisconsin. By his 2nd Marriage, two daughters, the Misses Jssena and Maude Post, and one son Albert Post all residing at home. Also three sisters Mrs William Dye of Gloversville. Mrs Mary Jones of Green Island, and Mrs Hannah Wemple of Amsterdam.
