E. Lucille Smith, 98, of Brazil, and formerly of Carbon, passed away at home October 28, 2011 with her family by her side.
She was born August 31, 1913, in Carbon, IN the daughter of Fred and Grace (McQueen) Wells. Lucille married Dan Smith May 4, 1932. Together they had five children.
Lucille enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: George Wells, Forrest Wells, Irma Heath, Annabel Hall, Paul Wells, Teddy Wells, and James Wells; granddaughter Linda Michelle Lehr and a son-in-law Richard Smith
Lucille is survived by her children: Donald Smith (Barbara) of Ellettsville, IN, Stanley Smith (Shirley) of Hopkinsville, KY, Roberta Green (Jerry) of Brazil, IN, David Smith (Dorothy) of Indianapolis, IN and Judith Parlett of Brazil, IN; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral Information
Services will be at French Funeral Home, Monday, October 31, 2011 at 1:00pm with Pastor Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home, Monday, from 11am until time of services.
