Paul Eugene Burtner, 71, of Mt. Holly Springs, PA died on Mon., Oct. 17, 2011 in the Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. He was in Dillsburg, PA, on Jan. 29, 1940 to the late Paul S. & Jean Kuhn Burtner.
Paul was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army for 21 yrs. retiring in 1977. Following his retirement he worked for 15 yrs. in the Shipping & Receiving Dept. at the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot. He was a life member of the V.F.W. Post in Dover, Delaware, member of the Mechanicsburg Club,
& enjoyed fishing & NASCAR.
He is survived by his son, Johnny P. Burtner of Carlisle, his companion of 31 yrs., Anna E. Hunter of Mt. Holly Springs & her children, grandchildren
& great grandchildren, also by a brother, Walter P. Burtner of Reading, PA & a niece Connie Nguyen of Mechanicsburg.
Graveside services will be held on Fri., Oct. 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., in the Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation.
Military Honors are going to be provided by the Cumberland County Honor Guard. Arrangements are being handled by the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 501 N. Baltimore Ave, Mt. Holly Spring, PA.
