Carl was born on October 29, 1928 in Longton, Ks. the son of Jesse and Georgia (Snider) Driskill. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps. from 1946 to 1949 and was part of the Berlin Air Lift. Carl worked for Atlas Powder Co. as a supervisor for many years before retiring in 1986; Carl attended the Scotland Church of God.
He married Pearl Nash in Joplin in 1965, she survives. Additional survivors include three sons, J.R. Driskill and his wife Terrie of Joplin, Ross Nash and his wife Kim of Springfield, Mo. and Terry Driskill of Richmond, Va., one sister, Donna Hornback and her husband Randall of Joplin, eleven grandchildren, Abby Forrest, D.J. Driskill, Jon Driskill, Austin Nash, Ashlee Nash, Allie Nash, Jared Driskill, Joel Driskill, Sarah Driskill, Andrew Driskill and Matthew Driskill, and two great-grandchildren, Abram and Gracyn. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jack, one sister, Mildred and by a grandson, Rich.
Memorial services have been scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday July 11, 2011 at the Scotland Church of God, visitation to follow.
