Gladys Grant Williamson died from complications due to Alzheimer Disease November 18, 2002.
Born August 15, 1928 the daughter of Clarence Alma (Tabby) and Dena Shafter Grant. She married Junior Niels Williamson December 11, 1946 in American Fork, Utah their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Gladys served in many church callings, Stake Relief Society, and Young Women's presidencies, served 50 years in the Sunday School. She earned the prestigious Silver Beaver award in scouting. She wrote and directed American Fork Stake's Christmas Pageant. Her choice calling in latter years was being "Grandma Friendly".
She is survived by her husband, and four children: Grant (Christine) Williamson, West Jordan; Joel (Karen) Williamson, American Fork; Shirlee Weight, Orem; Teresa (Curtis) Frazier, Blanding; 26 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 11 foster daughters, one foster son, one nephew Don Williamson, two sisters Joleen (Gary) Meredith St. George; and Deanna ( William) Miller, Ames, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Friday November 22, 2002, at 2 p.m. in the American Fork Stake Center, 250 South Center. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary (49 East 100 North Am. Fork) and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
