Mary was born in Ballinlough, County Roscommon, Ireland the daughter of John Weldron and Bridget Jenings. She arrived in Boston, Massachusetts, USA on May 1898 on the ship, Cephalonia. She was 16 years old and went to live with her sister, Margaret in Lowell, Massachusetts. She married Patrick Langan on 15 Oct 1902 at St Peters Church, Lowell, MA. They had four sons. In March of 1915 Patrick died. Mary was married to Joseph Groton in June of 1916. She died in November of 1929 and was laid to rest on 22 November 1929 with her first husband, Patrick. She was survived by her four sons John P Langan, Thomas Henry Langan, Francis P Langan and Edward P. Langan and two daughters, Catherine Groton and Mary Groton.
