She was also very active in the community including such groups and organizations as Eastern Star, A.B.W.A., Kansas State Tourism, Carrousel Project, Buffalo Project, Foreign Officers Sponsor, Leavenworth Methodist Church, Buffalo Bill Days Committee, Leavenworth Parks and Rec., Harvey Girls, and 1995 Leavenworth Citizen of the Year.
She was preceded in death by husband Ronald F. Johnson; son Clyde Delmer Johnson; grandson Raymond "Buzz" Johnson; brother Lee R. Gregory; and parents Ralph and Bessie Gregory. She is survived by sons Garold "Ed" Johnson (Susan), Dwight G. Johnson (Sharon); daughter Bonnie K Johnson; brother Ray C. Gregory (Kay); grandchildren Tom Johnson (Andi), Steffanie Murph (David), Anne Johnson, Mitchell Johnson, Aaron Johnson (Jennifer), Douglas Johnson (Andrea), Maggie Johnson, Jennifer Savage (David), Cheryl Johnson; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
