Frank Harlan Chapman was born in December of 1898 to Albert and Emma Chapman. He migrated to California from Kansas in the early 1900's with his family and later on married Ruby Champion in 1922. He was a city worker by trade and along with being a member of the Masonic Lodge, was very active in both the church and the church choir. He was a wonderful grandfather and an honest Christian man who loved Jesus. Frank always used to take his grandchildren to the monkey park where they would feed the monkeys. He also would let his grandchildren sit on his lap, mess up his hair and then recomb it in a stylish manner while he would tell them about the "olden days" when you could buy a sackful of candy for a nickel! He was a pianist who loved to play jazz and ragtime and would occasionally play for the silent movie theater. Frank Chapman died of pneumonia at the age of 84 and is buried at Melrose Abbey in Anaheim.
