Lucian married Martha Elzina Wright, daughter of Abiel and Martha (Baker) Wright on March 3, 1870. They probably were married in Hartland,Windsor, Vermont.
They had four daughters:
1) Lillian E. Rice, born in 1870 in Hartford, Windsor, Vermont and died October 28, 1872 in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
2)Julia Martha Rice, born on November 20, 1872 in Lebanon, NH and died on November 17, 1888 in Lebanon, NH.
3)Florence E. Rice, born on February 20, 1875 in Lebanon, NH and died on August 19, 1952 in Lebanon, NH. Florence was a grammar school teacher. Florence never married.
4) Lucinda "Lucia" W. Rice, was born in 1878 in Lebanon and died on June 5, 1954 in Lebanon, NH. Lucia Rice was also a grammar school teacher. Lucia never married.
Lucian W. Rice died on December 7, 1878 in Lebanon, NH of bowel inflammation and other disorders.
He is buried in the School Street Cemetery in Lebanon, New Hampshire as is his wife and daughters.
