Edna J Owens passed away Wednesday, at St John's Hospital, Cassville.
She was the daughter of Margarett Bell Mahurin & William Ernest Letts.
23 Nov 1936, in Garfield, AR, she was united in marriage to Herschell Owens, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughters, Betty Jean & Norma Faye Owens; brothers, Lloyd, Floyd, Everett, Edmond, & Bob Letts; sisters, Blanche Ridenour & Gladys Russell; 3 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.
Surviving are children: Louis Owens w/wife, Darlene of WaKeeney, KS, Albert Ray Owens of Goodman, Robert Owens w/wife, Evelyn of Anderson, & Barbara Owens of Wheaton; brother, Amos Letts of Goodman; sister, Bonnie Brandt of Purdy; 18 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren plus several great-great grandchildren.
Edna received her education at Newtonia. Most of her life was spent in Barry County, & retired from Tysons in 1983. For a short time she lived in CA, where she was a juvenile officer for the state of CA. She was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Arvin, CA.
Reverends Don Gene Hazelwood & Jason Townsend conducted the funeral services at McQueen Funeral Home, w/burial in Arnhart Cemetery, Purdy.
