Elaine Jones Larsen passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011.
She was born in Wellsville, Utah, Feb. 18, 1919, to Howard P. and Ethel M. Jones.
She married John Myers Larsen in the Logan LDS Temple on July 12, 1938. He passed away Oct. 15, 1993. They lived in California and Ogden, Utah, prior to moving to Roy in 1951.
They were members of the Roy LDS 7th Ward for many years. Elaine worked for Bennion's Drug Store, Roy Dept. Store, and Bee Gee's Apparel. In 1967 John and Elaine opened and operated their own business named Elaine's Ladies Apparel in Roy for 10 years. They then retired and traveled extensively.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband John, a son, a daughter, a grandson, a granddaughter, a great-granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Dee J. and Lisa Larsen, and Karen Scott, along with eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Elaine's friends Dave, Rita and Nelda for all the love and support they have shown. They would also like to thank the Peachtree Place staff and Hospice for Utah for their passionate care.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at 1 p.m. at the Wellsville Cemetery, 400 N. 200 East, Wellsville, Utah.
Arrangements under the direction of Myers Roy Mortuary.
