FRANK ROGERS DIES AT 81; RAN GROCERY HERE
Resident of City 48 Years; Retired from Active Work 12 Years Ago.
Frank L Rogers, 81, a resident of Rhinelander for 48 years, died at 11 o'clock Saturday night in St Mary's hospital, where he had been a patient only a short time. His death, caused by complications incident to old age, was unexpected.
For many years Mr Rogers operated a grocery store on Wabash street near the South Park school, and he was well known here. Later he was employed by the old Rhinelander Refrigerator company, retiring from active work 12 years ago.
He was born July 16, 1858, in Waupaca, Wis. He was married to Miss Florence Sustins, who preceded him in death April 16, 1928.
Daughter Survives.
Mr and Mrs Rogers had two children; Phil Rogers, who died here Jan 13, 1933, and Mrs William J Pelletier, ...Arbutus street. Since the death of his wife and son, Mr Rogers had been living with Mrs Pelletier.
Mr Rogers also is survived by one brother, one grandson, one granddaughter and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Hildebrand funeral chapel, with the Rev M H Cloud officiating.
