Fred Haydock
Fred O. Haydock, 76, of 3060 NE McWilliams Road, died of heart failure Friday at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
Born June 14, 1909, to James and Dora Haydock in Greensville, S. C., he moved to Nampa, Idaho, when he was seven.
At 16, he came to Stanwood, Snohomish County. He married Edna Olsen there on March 9, 1929.
On Dec. 7, 1938, Mr. Haydock went to work at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as an outside crane operator.
He retired in 1971.
He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and was a hunter.
His survivors include his wife; two daughters, Doris (Mrs. Grant) Brown Sr. of Port Orchard and Lucille (Mrs. Richard) Carpenter of Poulsbo; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Aaron of Bremerton, Hubert of Davenport in Lincoln County and Lee of Baker, Ore.; and a sister, Barbara Steed of Portland.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Fire District 15 (Meadowdale-Brownsville-Tracyton) fire station, 7600 Old Military Road, Bremerton 98310.
