Mike Cook, 58, of Denver, passed away on October 12, 2011 in Aurora. He was born on March 16, 1953 in St. Joseph, MO to Norman and Theresa (Cronin) Cook.

Mike graduated from Brighton High School in 1971 and continued his education, studying Pre-Veterinary Medicine, at Colorado State University for one year. Mike owned and operated Hi-Tech Carpet Cleaning for 10 years.

He loved fishing, camping and hunting. He enjoyed going to the movies and reading, especially science fictions books. Mike also loved music; even playing the trumpet in his younger days.

Mike is survived by his mother, Theresa Cook; two sons, Jordan Michael Cook of Glenwood Springs and Collin Richard Cook of Brighton; brothers, Steve (Francie) Cook of Denver and Dan (Tina) Cook of Littleton and sister, Margaret (Joe) Abegg of Arvada.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Patricia.

A Rosary Service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., both at St. Augustine Catholic Church.
