OXFORD - Emma Lou Balmer Miles, 50, of 3068 Herbert Faucette Road, Bullock, died Friday, March 19, 2004, at Granville Medical Center. She was a Granville County native and the daughter of Neta Vaughan Balmer and the late Paul Balmer Sr. She was a member of Tungsten Baptist Church and was medically retired from Lenox China. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Tungsten Baptist Church by the Rev. Sam Brewer. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Calvin Clinton Miles; two sons, Clarence H. Miles of Bullock and Jeffrey W. Miles of the home; four sisters, Janice B. Williamson of Henderson, Pauline B. Newby of Bullock, Mary B. Bentley of Oxford and Elizabeth B. Bullock of Stem; five brothers, Johnny Balmer and James Balmer, both of Oxford, Donald Balmer of Benson and Paul Balmer Jr. of Stovall and Richard Balmer of Henderson; and one granddaughter. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Sunday at Eakes Funeral Home of Oxford and other times at the home. (The Daily Dispatch, Henderson, NC, March 21, 2004)
