BRISTOL, Tenn. Shirley "Shelby" Hutchins Hopson, age 70, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, in the Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 1, 1941, in Bristol, Tenn., a daughter of Jospeh Robert and Laura Virginia Hutchins, and she lived most of her life in the Bristol area. She was a nurse for private home health and was of the holiness faith. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Quentin Hopson; also surviving son, Joe Wayne Tittle; daughter, Charlene Crotts; mother, Laura Virginia "Ginny" Trammell; grandchildren, Dreama Taylor, Tamara Isard, and Joseph Adam Crotts; three great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Deel and husband Charles; and aunts, Bessie Thompson and husband Paul, Doris Gordon and husband Dick, Nora Worley and Brenda Lingerfelt and husband Jerry. The funeral service for Mrs. Hopson will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harry P. Hawkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral service. The committal service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, in the VA National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tenn. Online condolences may be registered by visiting www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
