Annabelle Mae Clark, 83, of Toulon died at 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at Toulon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

Annabelle was born Jan. 30, 1928, in Kewanee, the daughter of Lester and Isabelle Duncan Talbert. She married William Clark on May 3, 1947, in Galesburg. He died Nov. 19, 1967.

Surviving are one daughter, Kathy (George) Dean of Matherville, Ill.; one son, Richard (Jennifer) Clark of Wyoming, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Rochelle (Mike Hitzler) McVietty, Heather Miller, Marissa (Bob) Burkholder, Laura Clark, Marcia Clark, Stephanie (Derek) Waldschmidt and Lucas (Amanda Dunn) Clark; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia (Oliver) Kretzer of Pana, Ill.; half sister, Trudie Friedly; and four half brothers, Lester Talbert Jr., Terry Talbert, Tom Talbert and Kevin Talbert.

Her parents; one brother, Leo Talbert; and one sister, Elaine Simpkins preceded her in death.

Annabelle first worked as a bookkeeper for Agri Power then Cover Insurance, both in Toulon. She last worked as the secretary for the LaFayette United Methodist Church, and also did bookkeeping for the Toulon Fire Department.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Toulon, where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 45 years.

Annabelle received the Christian Education Achievement Award in 1997.

She also was the secretary and treasurer for the Womens Bowling Association in Stark County for many years.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at Toulon Funeral Home. The Rev. Wayne McLeod will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Toulon Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church in Toulon.
