The son of Albert W. and Lela Kathryn McCorkindale Abbott. He married Dina Slusher in 1965. She preceded him in eath. Mr. Abbott had worked at Fike Corporation as a tool and die worker for 32 years. He was a Presbyterian. He is survived by a daughter, Lori Hollingsworth and her husband, Larry, of Lexington. A step-son, Dwayne Reynolds,
of Lexington. Three grandchildren: Guy Walker, Steele Locke and Hana Locke; Two great-grandchildren: Lucas Walker and Kadin Alumbaugh. A sister, Lois Wood, of
Lexington . In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Irvin Lee Abbott and J.C. McCorkindale and three sisters: Lorene Frizzell, Shirley Davis, and Catherine Lorantos. Graveside service at Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington. Visitation at Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington. Memorials requested to the family.
