Danny L. Abner, age 63, of Middletown, OH and formerly of West Alexandria, OH, passed away at his home on October 3, 2011. He was the son of the late John and Josephine Abner, born in Dayton, OH on July 7, 1948. He was a 1967 graduate of Twin Valley High School; served in the US Army stationed in Korea from 1968-1970; and he worked at General Motors, Richmond Lift Truck, and Danis Company. He loved hunting, fishing, softball, and was a very talented artist. He was a devoted member of many churches through the years, and enjoyed a close relationship with God.

He is survived by two daughters, Shellee Abner of Eaton, OH and Sarah Abner of Dayton, OH; one brother, Ronnie (Sandy) Abner of Enon, OH; one niece, Melissa (Brian) Schrier of Enon, OH; and two grandsons, Sydnee and Seth Kosak of Dayton, OH; as well as many friends all over Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, and Florida.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Dayton National Veterans Cemetery, Dayton, OH with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
