Ronald Dwayne Turner was the second of three sons born to Mary Garrett on September 25, 1961. He passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 1993 at the age of 31. A native of Hempstead and a graduate of Hempstead High School, he was employed by the Hockley Rail Car Company in Hockley, Texas. Spent most of his time tinkering on cars. Survivors included his mother, Mary Garrett; paternal grandmother: Eunice Turner of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Chris Garrett; two children: Letisha and Ronald Lavell; an uncle, John H. Hayes; three aunts: Aunt Lola; Aunt Tootie, and Mama Dorothy and a host of numerous other relatives and friends.
