VERNON ABEL, 86, of Albion, died Wednesday, April 30, 2003 in Columbia City. He was born Oct. 3, 1916, in Allen County. Surviving is son, Roger (Carol) Abel of Columbis City; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Abel of Albion; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Abel in 2000, and a son, Larry Abel. Service is noon Saturday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon before the service.
