Services for Samuel E. Bell, 84, of 7798 A Albany St. will be at 2 p.m. today at Sanders memorial Chapel with the Rev. dale Cain, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Bell died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday at South park Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1898, in Texas, and had been a resident of Lubbock for 51 years. He was a retired farmer.

His wife, Dorothy, died in August 1971.

Bell was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, and a member of the Yellowhouse Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include a daughter, Noma Lee Jordan of Lubbock; three sons, James E. of Fort Worth, Billy E. of Oklahoma City, and David E. of Lubbock; a brother, Thalbert of Corsicana; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Sam Jordan, Danny Jordan, Gary Grubbs, Donald Johnson, Dennis Bramlett and Craig Bell.
