Robert J. Sr., on Dec. 31, 1998, a longtime resident of Voorhees, NJ, age 85 yrs. Beloved husband of the late Naomi. Dear father of: Ronald W. Deichert (daughter-in-law Gena) of Washington, Twp., NJ, Barbara Ann Schray of Hollywood, FL, and the late Robert J. Deichert, Jr. Also survived by : one brother, William Deichert of Stratford, NJ, one sister, Margaret Day of Clearwater, Florida, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Deichert was former Mayor of the Township of Voorhees, serving from 1956-1959, and again from 1968-1969. He also held the positions of Township Committeman, and Director of Public Safety. He was a retiree of the Sherwin Williams Paint Co., Pennsauken, NJ, retiring in 1975, after 40 yrs. of service. Viewing for family and friends will be Tuesday eve. 7:00-9:00 PM, at EARLE FUNERAL HOME, 122 W. Church St. Blackwood, NJ. Services will be Wednesday morning 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment, Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in his memory to American Cancer Society, 410 White Horse Pike, Haddon Hts., NJ 08035.
