Calvin Clinton Miles, 56, a resident of 3066 Herbert Faucette Road, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at his home. A native of Mecklenburg Co., Va., he was born August 26, 1950, the son of the late Clarence B. and Edna Vaughan Miles. Mr. Miles was a member of Tungsten Baptist Church, and was a welder in the construction business. Funeral services will be conducted at Tungsten Baptist Church by Rev. Sam Brewer. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are two sons, Clarence H. Miles (Angie), Jeffrey W. Miles (Lindsey), both of Bullock, three sisters, Evelyn M. Marshburn of Butner, Carolyn M. Curl and Helen M. Blackwell, both of Oxford, two grandchildren, Amber and Logan; a good friend, April Englebright, and his faithful dog, Rusty. His wife, Emma Balmer Miles and brother, Melvin C. Miles preceded him in death. The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Crawford, M.D. and Susan Blackwell, P.A. along with the entire staff of the Duke Oncology/Radiology Dept. for the care and genuine personal interest shown to our loved one. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness." 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
