Annie was the oldest of 11 children born to Joseph and Ann Dolan Emidy in Woonsocket RI. Her father was a partner in Emidy Brothers Bakery in Woonksocket. Annie kept the books in the bakery. Her father and many members of her family on both sides of her family were musically talented. Her siblings went to Brown University, Harvard and other Ivy League Schools to become doctors and one was an attorney.
In 1917 she married Florance "Mac" or "Flory" John McCrohan. They had one daughter---Anna. About 1935 the family moved to Newport RI where Annie belonged to the Woman's Home Demonstration Club and owned Mother Mac's Cake Kitchen.
In her later years she lived in Memphis TN with her daughter Anna and family.
