Mrs. Lydia Futer, wife of Jacob F. Futer, undertake, of Gap, died on Sunday evening under very sad circumstances, Coroner Miller pronouncing it a result of an overdose of medicine. Mrs. Futer was alone in the house at the time. At about nine o'clock a lady residing in the neighborhood called to make a social visit. She was horrified to find Mrs. Futer in an unconscious condition. Drs. S. M. Lichty and George Hershey were hurriedly summoned, but she expired a few minutes later without regaining consciousness. Coroner E.R. Miller and the physicians held an investigation, and they came to the conclusion that death was due to an overdose of medicine, but the exact facts surrounding the case cannot be determined. Mrs. Futer was forty-five years of age and a member of the Baptist Church. Her large circle of friends are deeply shocked and bereaved over her sudden death. She is survived by her husband, a son, Walter, and a daughter, Marian.
